When we improve the base theme, the improvement reaches everyone who hasn’t customized that piece. No red badge waiting for you in the panel, no plugin fighting with another one: the rebuild arrives as one more version in your list, with its note, and it rolls back like any other.

What you customized is never overwritten
If the header is yours, the base stops reaching you there. It’s flagged as customized and the team sees both sides before deciding. It’s never applied on its own.

A test group first, then everyone else
The rebuild goes out gradually. If the first one doesn’t build, the batch stops and it’s written down who was left out. A mistake of ours doesn’t take everybody down at once.

And if you don’t like how it came out, roll it back
It shows up in your history with the origin “system” and a note saying what was updated. Nothing reaches your site without leaving a line you can undo.

Can I migrate my WordPress site to Wixy?
Yes, with our team. The design is rebuilt in code on top of the base theme (the theme and the builder aren’t imported) and your content, pages, posts, categories and images, is loaded into the panel. Your old URLs are saved as redirects so you don’t lose rankings. Tell us what you have and we’ll tell you what it costs.
Does Wixy have plugins?
No, and it won’t. The modules, blog, pages, online store, forms, SEO and custom fields, come built in and are switched on by your plan. If you need a field or a block that doesn’t exist, the team adds it in code, versioned and reviewed, and it becomes available without you updating anything. What will never happen is your site going down because two plugins fought at three in the morning.
Who handles updates and security?
We do. Hosting, backups, base theme updates and isolation between clients are included. When we improve the base theme, the improvement reaches everyone who hasn’t customized that piece, and it sits in your history as one more version you can undo. What you customized is never overwritten.
Can I use Elementor or a visual builder?
No. You compose each page with blocks from the panel; how each block looks is theme code, and that code is written by your team or by the AI. It’s the idea of a builder split in two: the assembly is blocks, and the design is code you can read, compare and roll back.
I run a WooCommerce store with coupons. Does this work for me?
Not entirely today, and we’d rather say so first. The Wixy store has products with variants, stock, cart, orders and a payment gateway with no transaction fee, but it doesn’t have coupons, subscriptions or multi-currency yet. If your business lives on those three things, WooCommerce is still the better option today.
What happens to my website if I leave?
You take it with you, just like with WordPress. Your team opens your theme code with its history from the command line, at any version; your content comes out through the API as JSON and your submissions as CSV. Astro files any developer knows how to read, and if you want it all in one package, we put it together for you. Managed, not held hostage.
